Hemp Flower
Even with the rising popularity of edibles and concentrates, flower is still the highest-selling cannabis product. Smoking flower is a classic and natural way to enjoy this plant, and it’s only getting better with time. Many of the world’s best growers live here in Colorado, and we enjoy working with them to provide premium cannabis strains for our customers. Here at Pig ‘N Whistle, we pride ourselves on the variety of our cannabis strains, but the quality will always be even more important to us.
Types of Cannabis and Their Effects
Even when the THC potency is entirely identical, different cannabis strains can produce their own unique effects. Cannabis experts and scientists are starting to come up with more answers to explain this mystery in recent years. Modern schools of thought say these different effects are caused by something called the entourage effect. Still, it’s easier for most people to think about cannabis in three different categories at first.
Indica Strains, Sativa Strains, and Hybrid Strains
While every cannabis strain has its unique characteristics, you’ll typically see them lumped into three categories on a dispensary menu:
- Indica Strains – These are generally associated with feelings of deep mental and physical relaxation. People frequently choose Indicas before eating a big meal, relaxing on the couch, and going to bed.
- Sativa Strains – A popular choice during the day, Sativas are often associated with bursts of energy and creativity. Many of our customers look for this type of cannabis before social events and other activities.
- Hybrid Strains – This broad category covers the entire spectrum between Indicas and Sativas.
